Abigail's surgery went great. I won't lie to you and tell you it will be easy for you. It was the most heart wrenching thing I have ever been through, but now...Things could not be better. I loved the way she was born, but the way she is now I am unable to explain. We are just over a week since surgery and she is back to her happy go lucky self. She is so funny and happy. I love kissing her little face without all that stuff in her mouth. As far as her arm restraints go; we have been holding her for the majority of the time, so they don't have to be on her. As long as you can get to her hands before her hands can get to her lip, they don't have to be on. When she falls alseep we put them on her, but she often wakes up with them off. To keep them on better we have been folding the bottoms of her sleeves up and over the arm restraints. I hope all of this helps. We will be praying for you as Sarah's surgery gets closer.
Just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you all with the upcoming surgery. You and Sarah will do great. It will be tough, but you'll come out of this happy to have it behind you. Please keep us posted, and let me know if you need anything.
I'm just me. A single mom of 4 and loving it... even on the hard days. Ok the single part isn't always fun but, it's better than being with the wrong guy! I have been a foster parent for almost 3 years and I am in the process of adopting 3 children.
